Leaving the plains of West Bengal behind, the route winds past lush tea gardens and rolling terrain before crossing into Phuentsholing, the vibrant gateway town of Bhutan. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the evening unwinding or exploring the local streets, soaking in the immediate shift in architecture, ambiance, and cultural rhythm. Day 2 - Phuentsholing to Thimphu via Gedu & Wankha Waterfalls (Distance: ~180 km | Travel Time: ~6 hrs)

Following breakfast, complete your immigration permit formalities before embarking on a breathtaking ascent toward Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. Along the mountain drive, stop to pay respects at Kharbandi Gompa (or the sacred Milerapa Lhakhang), where sweeping views of the plains unfold below.
